Car Battery Jumps To 18 Volts
I Jus Need A Battery Relocation . Car Started Fine After But Notice Rough Idle . So I Messed Around With The Vacuum Lines To Solve Problem . After A Few Times Starting . It Jus Wont Start Anymore . The Start Clicks Sounds Like The Battery Is Low So I Use A Booster To Help With The Low Battery . I Look At The Volt Meter & The It Shows 16-18 Volts . What Can Be Over Loading ? Ive Checked Everything Over & Over But Cant Really Seem To Find What Is The Source .

It's either a bad battery, bad regulator on the alternator, or both.

not starter, alternator. If the regulator on the alt went bad and fried the battery, the battery might be all fuzzed up and giving you crap voltage.

what are you measuring voltage with? where are you measuring voltage from? Did your car struggle to start before? Did you crank the car for a while before it died? Have you checked the main ground?

im using a voltmeter . measured from the battery & from the alternator . no it didnt struggle started right up . i did crank few times before it dying . by the main ground do u mean the ground on the passenger chassic or the battery ground . if so both are good especial the battery ground i drilled and put a bolt to ground it . i also added a ground from the motor to the chassic

the starter may have died or the solenoid is stuck. You can always pull the starter and test it or take it to be tested.

check your multimeter on a good battery, I've seen multimeter's give some funky voltages before when they're going bad.
