Thread: 01 SE Issue P0171

I'm stupid, I popped my hood and my air filter was hanging off the adapter... I cleaned the MAF put it back on with some hairspray and boom like normal again.

I'm having the same issue with my B15 SE. Replaced the MAF twice with parts store units, still does the same thing. Total loss of power, can't rev past 4k. I'm getting sick of this car real quick. Did cap/rotor/wires/plugs, changed nothing. Today the car totally lost power, SES light was flashing, not just illuminated. I dont get it.

If your getting that same code take a look at the service manual, has a lot of way to diagnose it and fix it.

Yeah I've been reading into it. Almost leaning towards bad fuel injector(s). This problem has really stumped me.

Or maybe aftermarket MAF's suck? I mean how possible is it that I have all defective MAF's?

glad it was a simple fix. Like I said in the beginning possible air leaks. Next time it will be the MAF though

Well if it gets that that I will just upgrade to an n60 or something.
