B13 Jack stand points
Hey guys I've had my cars up on stands several times over the years. Just wanted to get an idea where everybody else is placing their jack stands.

I really wanted to use the pinch weld points shown in the fsm but I'm thinking if I try to do that with regular jack stands I will end up bending some metal.

The points I have been using are the thick metal underneath the car directly behind the front wheel wells. In the rear I have been placing them below the bulged oval holes close to the pinch weld area.

Maybe there are better points. I'm thinking that using the spots that I have chosen I will eventually damage that undercarriage metal.

I never use the pinch welds, although I've seen them used on lifts before with marginal success.

Front:
If I don't need a lot of height I put them under the lower radiator support right where the frame rails meet it. It is the strongest spot up front. There are factory toe hooks there on some B13 cars if that helps you know where I'm talking about.

If I need more height then I put them under one of the front suspension mounting points on the chassis side. Almost always under the rear A-arm mounting location.

Rear:
In the rear if I don't need much height I put them under the frame rails by the muffler and by the gas tank fill spout.

If I need some height then I put them under the front parallel link mounting points on the chassis side I think. Although if that doesn't provide enough stability for you I suggest under the chassis-side mount for the control (trailing) arm. Yes, that's what I usually use.
