my magnaflow glasspack kicks ass. sure the cars a TAD loud, my older brothers friends call it Rumble Bee lol

if you buy a kit from somewhere there is always room for improvement. sometimes things arent where they should be ect. if you take your car to a shop an have them tweek the setup a tad and install some good hangers you shouldn't get any banging around. i need to actually do that myself because my big ass magnaflow muffler bangs around in back, i zip tied the hangers to the hangers on the car an that really helped but eventually the zip ties got weak an broke.

I really don't get why MagnaFlow really screws us in 3" in/out category. Even 2.5" ones have 22" cans, and 28" overall length!

Well why make the 2.5" resonators in any size that you can think of??

I think I'm going to get the 5" body. I'll have to get under the car and measure to make sure it fits though.

^Seems like this is as good as it gets for the 3" inlet/outlet with a 4" round can. I sent VRS an email, still waiting to hear back.

Vibrant Performance ::.

On MotoIQ, there is an article about the oval there and how Mike Kojima got 2 of them to fit under a Classic SE-R.

I'm wondering how much quieter two (2) Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators would be than the single Magnaflow resonator that I have installed on my NA DE with bolt-ons.

SSAC header w/2" secondaries
2.5" mandrel bent exhaust
2.5" in/out 18-inch (?) Magnaflow resonator
2.5" in/out Vibrant Stealth Muffler

According to Rockwood on MotoIQ, they have those two (2) Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators installed with no BFH modifications to the tunnel, and it fits with no rattling.

I am going VE in 2012, upgrading to the SSAC with bigger secondaries, (probably) keeping my 2.5" exhaust, and want the damn thing to be uber-quiet.

Alternately, I wonder if the exhaust as done by MotoIQ, complete with 3" piping and the two (2) Ultra Quiet resonators is (can be) as quiet as a 2.5" exhaust with one (1) standard 18" resonator.

Trying to figure out the best performance with the least amount of noise. Which I realize are goals that are in direct polar opposition to each other.
