b12 coupe 88: so the project begins
How's it goin here on the forum? I just got my self a b12 from miami, its rust free, I'm cleaning the interior up and eventialy going to paint it again. I want to upgrade the powerplant. Simplest solution woud be a highport since there avalable for around 500 if you pull the engine trans harnes cradle etx your self. But a sro20ve or sr16 sounds so enticing. What al is required to get the sr20 in a b12, how straight forwardis it. Some links would be apriciated since I know thes b12 with sr20s in them on here... help me out I've been a member since 2005...

All I know you need custom motor mounts to put an SR in a B12/N13.

Sweet. Chuck Johnson did a sr20 swap into his red b12. Google Chuck Johnson. I love when a B12 is done right. If I were to ever own one again it would be a hatchback model. I think the awd wagon and the hatcbacks are the hardest to find.

I'm assuming you got the sport coupe right?

hey man you ever think of dropping a CA18DET in there? It should be an easier swap then the SR20. The car should still move even if you go with the CA18. The b12s don't weigh much.

There were b12s made that came equipped with CA engines, so it should be an easier proposition than the Sr20 into a b12.

If it was me I'd go with a CA18DET.
