There is no tension adjustment just running the belt. Over time it'll slack and might pop off on you. I prefer the gutted pump method. You won't get rid of the weight of the pump but you'll have a way to adjust tension on your belt. Also its not as expensive as the gspec pulley. Power steering pumps are pretty common to find if you don't want to gut the pump you have on there now.

The power steering eliminator kit from Custom Steel thru GSpec runs about $200 plus shipping. I have one that I am not going to be using as I am rear mounting an alternator in it's place. Less than 5000 miles on the setup. I would let it go for $125 shipped. LMK if interested

yeah i'd like to see it i just picked up an se-r with a VE swap and the previous owner was just running a gutted (i'm assuming) pump. after a trip to the track this weekend it has a pretty gnarly rattle going on that i hope is just the pump and not something more serious.

Read post #5 in this if you do autox . I did it and yes better on roadcourse . You can remove the vanes in side the power steer pump its fairly easy to do and then you can use it as a tensioner . As others have mentioned the manulal rack is "numb" and has slower turn in.
