Yeah, i couldnt for the life of me find a proper crimp tool for those pins. Its basicly a crimper that crimps like you see on a/c hoses and high pressure hoses. Its a 360 deg style crimp. I ended up using my nicer set of crimpers and double crimped each pin. Took forever but the connections were still very strong. I test one and couldnt pull the wire out of the pin without breaking the wire itself. So I know it still worked. Basicly do one crimp, turn to the flattened part and crimp back in the other way and usually double folds itself if done right. Another reason you have to do this is because if you just smash them once it widens the pin and you wont be able to get it into the connector.

I found the proper crimpers online later for about 40 bucks. I just figured i could get that style in town but I checked everywhere. Cant wait to get it fully installed. I have the metal to do the mounting plate on the firewall for the bulkhead connector. Gonna look sick

Also.... one thing that Miko brought up to me while I was doing the Ve swap was that nothing on our cars come soldered. And I don't remember the exact reason. But is this still okay? Because solder just like a crimp does break.

Once I get the money together, time and space. My car is getting completely stripped and acid dipped for all the rust. I'm not going to go half asses on that if I want my car to last. Shawn B was a big part of that inspiration.

Because just like the b13 guys...Se-L's are becoming rare and few and far between also. So I want this to be a clean fast looking car. I don't plan on ever getting rid of it so sinking my heart into it and keeping it for a nice little weekend play toy during the good seasons is my goal. Just waiting to get back on my feet.

If you solder correctly and brace the connection i doubt you will have any issues. The factory uses crimps and a tar like substance for its connections. The way i was taught to make the connections before soldering are pretty strong. If you do not want to solder invest in a crimping tool, pins, and some wire so you always have a solid piece of wire from point A to point B.
