Evap Line question
on one of my b13's i removed all of the emissions crap out of it, so did the charcoal canister.. when i drive this car around i can smell the gas fumes all the way inside.

now i was wondering if it would be ok to just hook up the Evap hose directly into my intake manifold without causing my fuel tank to shrink. or hook it up to the intake pipe? which one would be better?

Hooking it up to the intake manifold would be a disaster. Hooking it up to the intake tract would be better. Even better would be a vacuum actuated valve that only opened periodically when you needed it to. Guess what? That's how the OEM system works. You should just put it back in.

I don't have any fuel smell with my charcoal canister removed though. It's possible something else is causing that problem. Maybe you're pressurizing your fuel tank somehow?

It only smells when the tank is low. I pop open the fuel cap and all the fumes are released

Yea i think factory system worked like that it would switch those vacuum solenoids on and off through the ECM to Burn those fumes.

I switched it to the intake boot drove it around a few miles and so far good. And no tank shrinkage.lol. Or gas fumes. Even though the car has that evap valve on the left side by the tank.
