I still have this issue.....I am kind of curious....do you know how usually we cut into the passenger mount so we could get a socket wrench on the motor mount bolts.....could this be possibly causing the issue?.......I also have the cross member bolted strait to the frame of the car along with some flat washers......is there a certain distance that the cross member needes to be away from the frame in order for the mounts to work properly ?

Long story short I had full prothanes and my Engine feels like it's jerking back and fourth like there is OEM mounts installed......I am sort of wondering if the the crossmember is just jerking back and forth but I seen no signs of scraping or rubbing under the car ....... Upgraded to a solid dogbone mount up front, sold engine mount in rear...installed brand new driver and passenger side mounts problem still persists. I'm lost looking for idea's on what can be causing this problem......I never had this problem with any of my past cars .....just tired of spending cash and getting no results in return.

I never had a problem with prothane mounts,Even tho they shake the car thats about it. If your missing the rear bolt to the mount that goes at the lower rear mount on the cross member that could be your problem. The motor has alot of play when your missing that one bolt.

Do you feel the movement if you rev in neutral, or is it only when you're driving? I think we're back to the idea that it might not be moving, it may just seem like it is.

I figured this out. make sure the engine is aligned perfectly. if it is a tiny bit cock eyed it ruins the back mount in no time. replace the rear mount and make sure engine in aligned . also use metal washers and align and solid mount your cross member.

My only issue with prothanes is my Passenger side one wore out and started falling apart at the edge. I think this was because i thought you had to grind a bit of the mount to get the bolts on with my first passenger insert. So I ground the edge off of the mount to make access to the two side bolts easier. When I replaced it with the new insert I realized that even though the "relief cuts" in the side of the prothane dont help. You can still put the mount in without having to cut or shave anything. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MODIFY THE PASSENGER MOUNT AT ALL TO GET THE BOLTS IN.

If you remove the mount casing from the engine to install the prothane, you do. If you keep the mount casing attached and then install the prothane, you do not. If you ever have to remove that mount from the engine, you'd have to cut a notch the prothane to get at the forward bolt.
