Problems with Prothane Mounts......
So I installed full *PROTHANE* Motor mounts at all 4 corners Engine is still shaking and bucking like there is factory mounts in the car. WHY? Any commentary or explanations will be helpful.

I've done all but the pass side so far on mine. It barely moves now, but when I still had an auto it would move like 2 inches! Now I've got a manual with the inserts, and it holds nice, and stiff. Just know there are going to be more than one telling you that you should've got prothanes. There's some ES haters on here, lol. Are the old mounts you have now trashed? They would work great with new mounts, and good with not so new, but if they were falling apart maybe not so well. If you're boosted, and have alot of torque, then maybe prothanes would be the ticket, because ES inserts will never be as stiff as they will.

the es inserts suck. you need prothanes pressed in. Place racing or jwt motor mounts are even better. the dog bone should be replaced with a solid unit. All of this will keep the motor from moving.

Sorry I had to correct my post I am using a solid engine mount in the front and I am using prothane mounts.

Ok, so you do have prothane. Are you referring to the shaking and rattling at idle, and maybe a lil jerk when you punch it? If that's what you mean then is normal. They transmit everything through the chassis by being more rigid. I have ES and I feel everything vibrating. If you have your hood open and rev it, and still see it move then maybe the bolts on your cross member to the chassis, or to the mount brackets are loose, or backing out. I'd check them to make sure they're tight.

No Im talking the engine is jerking when I accelerate, This is honestly baffling me I just bought and installed a new set of motor mounts because I thought the old set of prothanes were just worn out turns out the new ones are doing the same thing. Everything torqued to spec, Crossmember is bolted solid to the chasis with flat washers and all there should be 0 movement happening. I am puzzled.

What makes you think the engine is jerking when you accelerate? Do have have the hood off and can watch it while driving? If you've got prothanes and it really is moving, you did something wrong.

Stand in front of the car, with the motor NOT running. Put your hands on the valve cover and see if you can shake the motor front to back. If you can move it, you've got some problems.
