Sway bar or it's bushings could do it. If they are worn, or have alot of play, when you gun it it clunks and feels like your front end picks up. Maybe the stiff mounts loosened or broke a bolt or two. Hope this helps!

The engine doesn't hit the hood does it?

no, it doesnt. the only way i can describe it is that it feels like i have a bad rear motor mount and the car is jerking under deceleration...

it could be this also, I need to get in there and check everything out.

My turbo car does the same thing, it feels just like a bad rear mount. I am pretty sure it is mostly the loos springs in the clutch disk since this is what it felt like before I ripped another disk to pieces after popping the springs out.

Damn, having a similar problem, migh post a different thread about it.

Car jerks like hell when tapping/letting go of the clutch. Seems like a bad rear mount, but visually it looks fine. Gues I'll just have to start throwing parts at it...

Oh, the clutch was replaced 3k ago by the previous owner. Could the mechanic have messed up?
