I was thinking that's a possibility as well, but thought wouldn't it just burn off? There is some maybe spotty carbon buildup on top of the piston, with a nice glaze on top.

But I will pull the rail and do the test anyways jufst to make sure.

gap looks too big for a boosted motor IMO, and I'm thinking they might be a little hot. What temp plugs are you running? 6's is my guess. Push your gap to .024-.028 and see how it acts. And I'm willing to be that #3 injector has bad o-rings or is stuck open.

nvrmind on the boosted part...should've re-read the op.

don't pull the rail just yet, just use a 9v battery and touch the terminals on the injector, you'll hear it click...or not click. If it is working then your bottom o-ring may be bad.

Yeah im not boosted...yet so with the 9v battery if I hear it click it may be a bad o ring?? Also can I get away with tweeking the distributor? And yes I am running 6's. Thanks!

you can mess w/ the dizzy but make sure you rev 3 times over 3k, unplug tps, turn off ign., start car, rev 3 times, set timing, turn off ign, plug tps back in.

yes, I'm assuming that if #3 is the only cyl that has fuel on the top of the cyl after the motor sits, that it is leaking. It's more than likely a sticky injector.

Ok so which way should I be turning the dizzy, clockwise or counter clock? And am I supposed to do this process after I mess with the dizzy or before? btw I do not have a timing gun.

Yeah im hoping it is only the injector, im gunna try to pull the rail tonight and prime it to see if its leaking, then switch It out with another injector, run it the check the top of that piston.

test it with 9 volt before you even bother pulling the rail. You're pissing in the wind if you're trying to move the dizzy w/o a timing light.

Ok ill do that first. Lol yeah I need a timing light bad..

Did the 9v click test and it clicked. Then pulled the rail and primed it, found no leaks...
now I have some exhaust leaks around flex pipe area and cat, it doesn't smell untill I let off the gas with no throttle, it smells really strong, why is this?

well, you have a few things working against you...
1) VE injectors on a de ecu
2) Walbro fuel pump that raises fuel pressure
3) Your o2 sensor is not reading the correct a/f mixture
4) You have no way to tune the car
5) You have no idea what your timing is at.

Bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump when the ecu thinks that it is pumping 259cc@44psi, means rich a/f mixtures...period. That's why you're getting a little blowby and polluting your oil.
