OK with this new information, I have figured out that a 93.5 - 96 g20 gear stack has a 4.176 final drive ratio. My b14 has a 4.176 final drive ratio. That would mean the he g20 gear stack would be a direct swap into the b14 case?

I have a non LSD tranny mated to an avenir right now, without opening the case to inspect the final drive is there somewhere on the tranny where a part number would be stamped so I can see what care the trans came off of? I have a B13 LSD trans with 5th gear popout so I wanted to swap gearstacks from the non lsd but need to know if the final drive on the non lsd gear stack is the same.

Here is the problem buy solvable.

If the tranny you have is from a

P10 Non LSD ( no sensor in front ) 4.083 FD ( Not a direct swap )

P10 94-96 or 98-99 200SX SER Non LSD ( sensor in front ) 4.176 FD ( direct swap )

both shafts have to changed if it is a P10 94-96 because P10 has difftent 5th gear

if it is a 200SX SER 98-99 then you can change just one shaft,

If it is a 91-93 P10 you will have to press all the gears off the pinion shaft and put them on to your original shaft for your gear box.

Sensor in front would be the crank sensor correct

no crank sensor hole so I guess its a 91-93 P10

There is an NX2K in the junkyard but it has 250k on the odometer, I know it might be a stretch but is there anyway to test if the gears are good in it before I buy it? I don't think they do returns on tranny's
