yes,it seems the aerocatches are actually the best option if you want to lock them.

I highly doubt that since they were primarily designed for off road truck racing with fiberglass hoods.

I hated the NRG ones, they were too much of a pain in the ass to install on my B15. They wouldn't lock right so I just tossed them for some cheap ones like the sparco ones above.

I never really heard anything bad about the Aerocatch until now..

On the lookout for a better solution.

Not exactly a glowing endorsement.

Shawn, do you really need them to lock?
You'll have the center latch still in use, correct?

The center latch will be working just fine. The CF hood is a clone of the OEM hood.

Which is why I am leaning towards those push-button units from Quik-Latch. Expensive as hell, but black and stealthy. Check the video on their website, link in my first post, they're putting them on a dragster. Looks like they snap-together positive as hell. Push the button and they release.

I am not so concerned about the price as I am about getting the best solution. I do NOT want to have to re-do any hoodpins on my brand new CF hood.

Those Quick-Latch ones do look mighty nice and decently stealthy. Not invisible like the Western Motorsports ones, but still not gaudy. If only the hood had recesses for them to be frenched in.
