sr16 pistons seem like such a better option imo

you can get over 200hp in a regular ve

well as of right now, an the dyno i goto which is a dynojet.. i only make 180whp 143wtq SAE corrected and tuned.

mods:
3" exhaust
n1 cams 0/0
3" wai
ssac

my 1/4 trap speed is 98.5mph and 14.0et with a 2.2 60ft so it seems like to me the dynos pretty accurate..

honestly i'd be happy with 210whp on That dyno, that would be a 30whp increase and well worth the chedder imo..

i did think about the 16ve and n1 pistons, but if im changing pistons im going to increase displacement And compression..

oh i just thought of something..

would it be a good idea to torque the main caps down before sending it to the machine shop? i dont think they will have a deck plate either but i've never had this done before so i dont know?

When are you going to get this all done?

Yes you should have the mains on and tightened to spec. I would feel better about having it done if you have a tq plate

so yeah if i cant find a tq plate for a reasonable price or if the shop doesn't have one (really doubt they would for my engine) should i just not even bother or what?

maybe i can buy a block from someone an have it sent to one of you guys who has access to a tq plate an have the machine work done that way?

yeah the tq plate is important. I've read that you should even torque on a bell housing when you do it.

Lol the bellhousing would be easy cause I just so happen to have one I could use, I. Just can't justify spending 350-500 on something I will only use once.. Sure I could rent it out or try to sell it.. But I doubt I'd get my money back out of it
