Could a tight ps, ac, oil, water or alt pulley cause the problem? i have had a lil problem with my power steering getting tight sometimes. I changed all two belts last week.

The car would not start with the push start.

that might be it... when you changed the belts, did you put the proper sizes? or are they still tight?

really? how many times did you try at it? did you try it by yourself because it usually helps if you have a friend or more to help you get the car moving a little quicker.

Just got the starter checked and its in great condition, how would I know if my engine has ceased up?

If it's spinning when you tried to push start it, it's not siezed. Take plugs out, let it dry out as it's probably flooded and try push starting again. A nice long downhill, or someone/something pushing while in 4th or 5th. Good luck.

Thanks for all the replies, the alternator pulley had ceased up making it hard for the motor to crank.
