Also i have an nx2000 crossmember so im assuming it would work with a manual ga tranny or sr tranny.

He's not talking about the shift cable, he means the cable that goes from the shift lever to the ignition. what u do is remove it but set it in park so the key can be removed.

You will need a real short stubby phillips to get the screws out. once this is removed your problems are solved. I just did this recently after my swap. As long as that's hooked up and the shift lock control box is hooked up then your key will come out fine. Mine did, but I recently rewired it the right way for a manual car. I replaced the 6 post inhibit clutch relay, with a 4 post clutch interlock relay. I've spent hours in the FSM researching all of this stuff.

No, the trans are cable.

really? sweet!...and i was reading on the ga to sr how to and it shows that either a 5spd 1.6 or 2.0 crossmember can be used on either trannies correct?

Yeah. I used one from a M/T GA sentra for my tranny swap on my NX2K. The auto one will still work. You just need to swap the rubber mount in the rear.
