Headgasket or possible ring or head damage?
So i went to look at a 95 Ford escort for sale on craigslist, i was told it needs a head gasket. I can get it for $400, it has 97k miles and no body rust ( easily re sell able if i fixed the head gasket)
So i did a compression test with all spark plugs removed. cyl 4 , had 30psi but then quickly dropped to 0, it also had a rusty spark plug. My assumption is that the pressure quickly leaked out a water jacket, and the car was run for some time, due to the rusted plug. Cylinders 3 and 2 had no compression. Could not get the gauge to move at all. Cylinder 1 had 90psi.
My question is , could the lack of compression on cylinders 3 and 2 be due to the head gasket, or is there more likely some ring or valve seat damage?
