Thread: fuel pump

ok guys i have a 92 se-r(crashed) that i'm using as parts.i'm about to swap a vvl into a 4dr 1.6 got a few questions
1) do i need to swap out the fuel pump or are they the same
2) do i need to swap the accesory harness in order for the se-r cluster to work
Any info would be greatly appreciated

2)does the 4dr 1.6 cluster have a tach?compare the plugs that come off the ecu harness and go under the dash on both cars

I agree that it would be a good thing to get a Walbro. You can pick one up for under $100 and then you know you have adequate fuel delivery. Even the pump from and SR20DE can get tired and become inadequate for a VE at high RPM. Before you crack into the fuel tank, make sure that you have the Nissan O-ring that you need to seal the fuel tank cover. Those thinks cannot be re-used and your car will smell like gasoline unless you replace it.

yah i guess a walbro is a good idea especially since i am probably going to boost it in the future
