Thread: Are all thermostats this slow?

It looks like its slow to open to me.
Just wanted to see how else has tried it.
Started to open close to 180
Its not fully open until ~200

What type of theremostate is this,is it oem or a aftermarket unit?

no nissan stamp so id say aftermarket

edit, i ordered one from Gregv..

and while that one was out, i removed the jiggle valve and make that hole a little bigger.

Aftermarket units are crap, you did the right thing with ordering one from Greg though good shit. You do need to do a follow up test with the oem unit because you sparked my curiosity with this thread.

I'll keep using it unless i get the oem one by friday from greg. Im going to a HPDE this weekend in SC. But ill be sure to test it like i did the last.

The reaction time is about the same. But the oem looks like it has a bigger hole.
