Oil pressure issues
OK so I took off the valve cover to my engine today, and the brand new JWT S4 cams that I put in ~500 miles ago now have huge grooves down the middles of them. Also, the little part on the sides of the lobes that doesn't come in contact with the rocker arm is about 1/16th of an inch further out than the surface that contacts the rocker arms.

I hooked up an oil pressure gauge, and at 1500RPM it read ~53 PSI. Note that at this point, I could hear my valve train as rattling around like crazy.

Is this the result of a clogged filter or oil passage somewhere? It has ridiculously high pressure at the sending unit, but obviously none of that is making it to the valve train.

Also, the FSM specifies that oil pressure should be "more than 11 PSI" at idle. Well, that's a LOT more...

Help meeeeeee!!!!

OK now I got it to idle at about 800 RPM for a moment, and the pressure is still at about 38 PSI. Is this normal??

Also, the rattling stopped after a few seconds - I think the oil pressure gauge just had to fill with oil before there was sufficient pressure for the rest of the system.
