. U get that tranny out ok?

Yah the misfire is getting a bit worse today, it was dippin alot more. I figure when we pull the motor im just goign to put the stick de up for like 200 bucks, just a cheap running motor for someone lol, and they can do whatever they want with it.

i built a tranny out of two broke ones before. one had a bad input shaft bearing and the i broke the case in half. looking back i wish i kept the second set of gear stacks. but i still have the second diff. i all all should be interchangable as far as the stacks go.

I wasted 4 hrs last week on this delima I had. I swapped the whole gear shafts into the case and it would not work with the LSD differential. The stacks would work, but you'd have to keep the same input and output shafts and swap all the gears on them. The bottom portions of the Counter shafts are different by just about 3 mm in length, I put them end to end and they would not line up. So if anyone is wondering if they can swap the whole gear shafts from a non LSD to an LSD unit, the problem lies in the ring gear width on the LSD transmission is different than the width on the countershaft stack that meshes with Final drive ring gear. But on the flip side... I now know I got a perfect condition non-LSD P10 trans sitting around

thats weird because ive used a 99 p11 non lsd gearset in my b13 lsd trans and had no issues at all. It all depends on what year p10 you get it from. It has to be the same final drive. Go look at the gearstack worksheet in the how to section and you will see what im talking about. The 99 p11 has the longest 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear ratio as well. Hence why i used it. That and it was the only trans i could find to replace my broken gearstacks in my other trans. If you get the one with the correct final drive it will go right in. I know this for a fact. Ive replaced many many many gearstacks on our trannies.

Also used a 96 p10 trans that i bought in phoenix in my car as well and again, zero issues. You have to get the one with the 4.176 FD, I believe the 91 through 94 have a 4.3XX FD Again go look at the sheet. You have to match up the FD. This was your problem. I know for sure again ive done too many to count.

now if your talking about putting everything into the non lsd bellhousing-front case then yes it wont work. Because the whole lsd dif sits up higher and everything wont line up correctly. So that part is not swappable. But as far as internals-gearstacks are concerned. You can take the non lsd stacks and put then in your b14 trans. No problem again as long as you have the correct FD
