Car won't move, suggestions?
1) swapped auto trannies, after was done, put torque converter bolts on flywheel by turning crank by hand, so that's all in and tight. Now, after bolts were on, tried to turn crank by hand a few hours later and crank won't turn!

2) Starter is bad, awaiting another starter

3) Bleed the brakes and they are not pressurized yet, since can't turn on car

What I'm thinking right now is that there's possibly air in the braking system causing wheels to lock up? Car will not move, not in any gear.

Also, won't the crank usually turn by hand?

Can an auto tranny get locked up?

Need ideas, suggestions, must move the car, sitting on buddies car lift at his shop, and he needs use of it. I guess if worse comes to worse, I'll have to buy some of those car dollys to move the car that way?

Can you get the transmission out of park/gear? once it's bolted up properly to the tranny and block it should be good to go.

I don't know how you where able to move it by hand, we had to turn the crank from the other end with a big ratchet on the last two auto trannies I did with friends,

Oh, no, I meant by hand like with a big ratchet, instead of by bumping it with the key. Sorry

The tranny will go into gear just fine. I can shift through all the gears, of course the car is off tho.

Ok, make sure you reset the control unit in the front of the transmission as per the factory manual. You need to adjust the control cable as well as dial the control unit to zero with a paper clip or pin. Sometimes if you do not do that, Neutral will NOT be in the neutral position, try all gears until you can move the wheels both directions, then you should be in neutral.

It happened to us before we busted out the FSM and saw the resetting procedure for the control arm unit,
