Thread: Good price for a B13 trans?

I think my trans might be dead, it's got a pretty serious oil leak. How much should I expect to pay to get a new one? I found one locally for $225 but condition and mileage are unknown, but it is a B13 LSD. I think that's a pretty good price though. Right?

Most B13 LSDs that I have seen go for about 300-400 depending on condition.

I paid 400 shipped for mine, but the one I bought had just had the GSpec 5th gear fix kit recently installed.

Someone here on the forum has 1 for sale for not too much..

It doesn't have 5th gear so you would have to repair it but its not like thats hard :P

Oh yeah also where is your oil leak at? Find out where its coming from and I bet you its a stupid spot.. Mine was leaking like CRAZY and it ended up being the axle seal which was a $10 fix..

i've heard the price is going up more and more..

Still hoping my trans isn't completely busted but for 225 I might pick this one up anyway.
