Interesting Nissan Injector Data
Hey guys I just had some injectors cleaned over at Deatschwerks.

I was a bit surprised by the results.

Testing Data
Air Temp: 75
Device: New Age NA8
Specific Gravity: 0.696@25C
Testing Pressure: 43.5 psi
Calibration Factor: 1

Results for Infiniti Q45 sidefeeds (93-96 style)
Injector Static Flow OHMS No Load Voltage Load
1 420 cc/min 11.3 5.58
2 421 cc/min 11.4 5.55
3 420 cc/min 11.4 5.56
4 417 cc/min 11.4 5.54

Results for JDM Highport SR20DE Red side feeds Engine built 1995
Injector Static Flow OHMS No Load Voltage Load
1 296 cc/min 11.2 5.56
2 294 cc/min 11.2 5.55

good for them at Deatschwerk

Red Nissan 259cc at Deatchwerks flow 295cc

Purple Nissan 370cc at Deatchwerks flow 419cc

That means they are saying at 3 bar the 370cc injs will net 290 WHP while out in the real world 370cc injs at 4 bar make 290 WHP and if you go to 300-310 WHP at 4 bar the motor will ping and pit out the top of the cylinder walls

I will stick with what I know

They aren't making any claims to what power can be made, only testing actual flow rates of the injectors using proven devices. Perhaps Nissan rated the OEM injectors lower, or on a different base pressure?

I ran 290whp on stock 370cc at 4 bar with no issues for quite a long time. But I agree, running them any higher would likely cause some issues.

This would explain why some people buy 2 different brands of injector with similar flow rates, only to find out they are actually quite different. Interesting data for sure, but don't go off thinking they will perform consistently like the larger variants that the data shows them flowing at.

Anybody else have some data from other injector companies? Like maybe RC Engineering, etc.

The 370s will just go into a stock boost T25 setup, and the Reds will just go into a stock DE. I just posted this because I felt it was interesting.

I remember something about 370cc injectors being measured as 390cc injectors. I would have never expected 420cc though.

Ok whats your point Coheed, I clearly stated that in the real world 290 WHP at 4 bar is not a problem, then you put you ran 290 WHP at 4 bar with no problem. Try taking them up to 300 WHP-310 WHP and see whats up.

My point being, perhaps 370cc at 4 bar can't normally support 290whp? Based on the data they have shown with them flowing more than 370cc. You can't just look at a factory flow rating and take it as 100%. It is an arbitrary number. Sorta like a lot of those factory hp numbers back then.

We already know what the injectors will support HP wise, and DW isn't making any claims as to power potential. They are just showing their flow data. Take it for what it's worth.
