What do you guys think about the setup in my pic? You'd have to find a 4-rib belt, the length I don't know (maybe 32"?). I haven't tried actually setting this up but since I had the engine on a stand I was playing around a little with the water pump pulley. As you might notice the water pump is on "backwards." This will allow you to run one belt for the water pump, crank and alternator.

I see a lot of slippage. Maybe if you somehow add an idler pulley under the engine mount.

if you found the right size belt to do it that way as long as the alignment is very close between the pullies with it like that i dont see it being a clearance problem but if its off just slightly it will cause the belt to come off eventually and will not work.

Good idea though if it does work.

There was somebody on the old forum that ran it this way. I think a couple of people copied the idea, but I have yet to hear of belt sizes or reliability for that.

This will work, but the frame will need to be notched. A d I'm sure once the motor is in the car, you won't be able to take that pulley out.
