I got a good year that's 24.5 inches and I can't get it on, but 25 inch feels kind of loose.

I was looking at the wrong picture of my rebuild. I was able to get the belt on but it tore a little and was very tight. I decided to try the 250K3 belt and while it does seem a little loose it, it does not slip or squeek one bit even after getting wet.

Thanks for the reply.
I thought the 25" seemed a little loose, but I couldn't even get the 24.5" over the pulley. The water pump doesn't seem like it takes a lot of effort to turn though.

Belt work just fine, still no squeking. Word of advice: If you're going to loop the lines then I would say don't. If you are thinking about swaping in a manual rack you could always try out my car cause manual racks aren't for everyone.

im not gonna loop the lines....they will stay open like in the write up,but you dont have any ps? maybe i could see what its really like....

mine works a lil but its still hard to turn and the ps fluid leaks everywhere cuasing lots of scum and dirt.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

well a little update on this, haha it seems as though a 25" belt may be a little loose, i worked great for about 8k miles but after time i guess the belt streched and became loose, thus causing my nightmare overheating problems the last couple days. it appears as though during startup the belt was soo loose it wouldnt even turn the waterpump, occasionally it would catch but most of the time once it would stop turning it wouldnt turn again unless you flicked it by hand while the motor was running.

So as need be im gonna look for a median between a 24.5 and 25 as most of you were saying the 24.5 was just a tad too small and it was a big pita trying to get it on. The 25 when first installed went on very easy and the belt was perfectly tight not too loose not too tight. I dont know if its just because its a cheapy belt or the fact that the 3 rib just streched faster. So im gonna do some searching for a 4 rib belt that will take care of all these issues. preferably inbetween a 24.5 and 25" napa usually carries alot of wierd size belts, just like i finally found a 6 rib for my alternator without a/c. It was tight going on but it fit.

Neways i will update this once i find a good belt.
