Possibly new car, help me out.
I'm going to look at a B15 saturday. It's a 01 with LSD and it only has 43k miles on it. Looks like it's in pretty damn good condition. Just wondering what you guys would pay for something like that, keep in mind it's a dealer. This could be getting the swap from my SE-L since it's so clean. Is there any thing specific to look at when looking at the b15s? There asking 6300 I think, and I want to try to get it for around 5600, I think would be a good price. Whats the most I should pay for this? THANKS@!

$6300 is nada clean retail. They probably have about $1500-2000 margin. Depending on how long they've had it, I would think $5600 wouldn't offend them and chance are good they'd counter you. Bottom line, start lower then your willing to pay because they're going to negotiate hard on you.

Just make sure you look the car over really well before you fall in love with it and start talking money with the sales person. It might not be as "clean" as you think and you might over pay.

As far as things to look for, I'd say rust is number one. especially in OH. Bent subframes and under carriage...things like that are #2. Drive the thing, if it doesn't drive straight or pulls hard to one side could mean there's stuff bent. General condition of interior is another.

If its cash from your end lowball the shit out of them, 5k cash and I'm sure they are still making good money. Check out KBB for trade in value and I'm sure that'd pretty ose to what they paid for the car.

On the other hand if your going to finance I doubt the will move much on that price.

Good luck and let us know how it goes ...

This is close to what they(the dealer) paid, if the cars been on the lot for a period of time they will take the lowball

I think it just showed up, it just popped up on craigslist. And what sucks if it was like the end of next month I could pay cash, but I'm gonna have to finance for now. Which I don't know if I can get financed. But it is a Kia dealer where it's at so I think I got a good chance. Dealer price on KBB showed up as 6900 and private showed up as 5600 so I'm hoping to just be like, no bullshit here 5600 out the door with a grand down. And it should be payed off by summer.
