Every time I've "settled for less" rather than miss out, the perfect car pops up. That why I've learned to stop looking after I make a purchase, keeps me from kicking my own ass.
Make sure you try to do some rust protection if you end up picking up a southern car. No sense in picking something up to have it rot up in a few years.

Honestly a great car and deal would deserve the cost of shipping too for simplicity. But if she wants to get outta town ... who am i to argue.
South bound for sure. Woot.

Grrr.
I fear some clueless idiot crashing into 'Jerry'...
But with today's gas prices, i may have to put him in the daily rotation...
Also keep an eye out for them where you least expect it. One of my former Classics came from a ghetto buy-here-pay-here lot that thought he was selling me an old beater Sentra.
Sorry Paul I haven't researched a rust protection method. I know in the northern states there are places that coat your car. With what I'm not sure. My plan if I ever make it back up there is to get a dedicated car for winter driving.
There is some rubber undercoating you can get at NAPA to spray on the undercarriage in the approporate spots. It comes in a can like spraypaint.
Other than that I always keep the door jams and quarter panels clean and the classics. We don't salt the roads in NW so its much less of a problem.
