It matters because you speak like every other teenager, and your perception on reality is still skewed. Don't worry we knew you were young, his comment was to just emphasis that point though.

Nissan auto's are useless. After you break a few you'll understand.

Auto is a dog, save your money or do a 5 speed swap. It is just a huge power robber, and can't handle power. I did a t25 setup on my sr20 automatic, at stock boost the tranny couldn't hang. So I did a 5 speed swap, which wasn't bad, and the difference was night and day

A VE is much better (more power with better/newer head - more horsepower/tq - plus a few really nice internal bits). However more money, and I have no idea if any of our....sigh.....bleh...auto-tragic transmissions can handle a VE power (???).

Therefore, an SR20DE and an auto-tranny from a G20 ought to work. It would me miles (and miles) better than a GA (mod for mod). Plus real wallet-friendly.

I sell SR20VE, SR20DE and SR20DET motors

If you are in or near Miami, that is The Man to go see. You should discuss your project with him, and buy everything you need from Andreas. OR just have him do the entire swap. If you do the swap yourself, Andreas will help you with any issues, other parts you need, and expert advice. And that is INVALUABLE.

If I was in or near Miami, the only person to ever wrench on my vehicle would be Mr. Miko. No questions about it.

Look at his Feedback Thread in the Classifieds.

Just look at this kind of power. It says 195hp so it might just be with bolts on. You would kill your toqure converter with this kind of power. lol. But if your really going stick with Auto then just go with the SR20DE.

swapping from a 1.6 to a 2.0 auto will be a difference, but not worth the cost. same gear box, same gears. your best just doing bolt ons if you want to stay automatic.

driving a 2.0 auto to a 2.0 manual is like night and day. in an auto stock 2.0 you will see maybe a mid-high 17 second 1/4 mile. in a manual you should be able to see mid-high 15s. trans swap the thing with the motor. a stock 1.6 manual could easily beat a 2.0 auto stock for stock. ive experienced it first hand.

Seriously? High torque would kill a Nissan Auto trans, not hp. A VE, with 125-140wtq will not kill a Nissan Auto transmission, torque converter, etc.

A B15 auto can take 200-225wtq. I'm not sure where most people are getting their numbers from.

Anyways, a Nissan manual vs. a Nissan auto is like night and day. You will definitely gain ~1.5sec on a 1/4 mile track.

If you were going to stay auto, I'd say swap in a CVT and VE. Maybe some paddle shifters too, that would look nice!
