windingish noise when accelerating?
I get a winding noise when I accelerate... It's like the same noise that you get when your in reverse but in 1st gear from a stop... What is that?

Is it coming from the tranny would you guess ? sounds like maybee a input shaft bearing . Does the noise exsist in all gears when accelerating or just in first ?

I have the same noise on my ve, on my car its mostly at higher rpms, I think it might be my power steering pump because there is regular power steering fluid in there

just out of first, my clutch is slipping like no other though.. I can feel it on the clutch pedal so I know its from the transmission. Only happens like when I take off and let off the pedal and the clutch is still slipping (because its that bad)

Just about to say to check power steer fluid level but it will make the noise at higher rpm sitting still with car in nuetral . Im guessing the noise is like a reverse gear or straight cut gear wine ? Sounds like bearing issues .Looks like the only way to be sure is drop the tranny since the clutch is slipping and inspect input shaft for play or bearing wear . Also make sure you have lube in the tranny

Sorry this video is retarded, just skip to 23 seconds and you'll be fine lol thats the noise that it makes though until the clutch grabs then it stops

Thats is in the tranny weather its input bearing or gear related but i would suspec input bearing first although you said its only in first gear so makes me think it aslo gear related . Just make sure your topped of on fluid or drain the trans to inspect the fluid and drain plug for any excessive metal or metalic color in the fluid before you drop the trans for the clutch job. BTW did you slap on those calipers yet ?

Well I just changed it not too long ago and it hasn't been leaking so i dunno =\ weird that it only happens when the clutch is slipping

Also its only happened to me 3 times in the past 3-4 weeks so I'm not quite sure if it does it in other gears

ALSO on 2 occasions when it started to slip I started hearing this crazy banging around sound and when I pushed in the clutch it went away ahhh I took a video of it, let me upload that..... heh

I haven't put the calipers on yet LOL I cleaned them up all nice and pretty then never got the chance to install them... It's going to be about a 2 hour job to do it so I'm kinda lagging considering my front brakes are only ~7 months old
