This is in General SR20. Is this an SR20 engine you're working on?
What engine came in the B12? Edit: I see from your other thread it is a E16I engine.
You really have to get that "lost" freeze plug out of there. That's mandatory. Then, when installing a new one you never want it to mount in far enough to fully seat against the cylinder wall. There should be room behind the plug for water to flow. Sorry to hear about all your troubles. Is this a car/engine you care about? I'm getting the feeling like it's just some project you're monkeying around with.
I didnt know where else to turn for info Benfenner, I'm aware it's in the general sr20 but thought it would make sense to put a dire question such as this in this section. It's a b12 with an e16i - I have since put a new plug in and the car runs fine even with the thing in the engine itself.

It may run fine for now, but you might have a hot spot since it has blocked flow. That hot spot can severly shorten the engine life or cause a failure. No way to really know for sure since we don't know the flow of that engine or exactly where the plug ended up.

I have people skillz. DEEP Texas. Sarcasm meters may be broken after this post.
I would agree with fishing a magnet around in the bottom of the engine, or just wait for the engine to fail and replace the motor? I dont know whats being contemplated here....what are the choices? OP, what can you live with?
