TPS Voltage adjustment-weird results!
I have a feeling the reason my car is bucking in 1st gear is related to my TPS. I checked the voltage on the sensor and fully closed it's at 0.39 volts. Fully opened it's at 3.8 volts. According to the fsm the readings should be at 0.45 volts closed and over 4.0 volts fully open.

Clearly my sensor is off a bit.

When I adjusted the voltage to 0.458 the fully open voltage was at 4.05v. However, the car idled at over 2,500 RPM. When I backed the voltage down back to .39 the car idles fine.

Is the sensor busted or do I need to take it out and reinstall it or something?

This is on a 2000 B15 with a roller rocker motor!

Also is there a different TPS for a manual car vs an automatic car?
Found this on rockauto.this is saying the sensors are different. I thought they were all the same?

readjust your idle after setting the TPS to the correct value.

Sorry I should have specified in the first post but this is on a roller rocker motor in a b15. I thought the idle is automatically adjusted by the ecu?

You have a manual adjustment for the idle speed just like any other sr motor. You can either adjust the the idle speed or wait for the ecu to change the stored tps values.

Could you please tell me where the manual adjustment is located? I would like to get this car running properly!

The only idle adjustment I've seen on a RR was at the TPS.

I vote take it out and re-install the TPS. My car idled like that and a buddy came over and took off the TPS and put it back on and it ran better (not sure exactly what he did though).

keep forgetting the usdm rr used the consult II to adjust timing and base idle.
