i have a cat on my car everything on the car is stock its a 02 g20, i paid them to change the iacv an tps because i didnt had any time. they change it and the car then started to idle really high 2k.

Idle at 2,000 sounds like advanced timing. Red-hot header sounds like retarded timing. Wasn't sure what to say until you posted that picture. Your timing is borked. It needs to be set properly ASAP.

Is that plug missing a wire?

Maybe he's so advanced he's retarded... haha

all i know is that distributor is cranked all the way... maybe like a quarter inch past the middle was 20 he's like past the timing marks!

Good eye BenFenner! I think your right, I can only see 1 wire on the plug, thats the crank angle sensor if im not mistaken. The mechanics shop needs to fix the work they jacked up!

They probably just installed the parts and didn't adjust anything. Find someone with a volt meter to adjust the TPS. Should read .44-.45 with the throttle closed. IACV needs to be adjusted as well. Sounds like you have a bunch of small issues on this car. I would order up a test pipe and delete that cat or find a replacement.

I thought the distributor posted in that picture is all the way retarded. I always heard turning the distributor clockwise, it would advance the timing.
