Yeah, sounds about right. You usually have to cut that tube if you can't get it out of the manifold. I personally have never been able to.

errr... cut the tube? don't i need it? i need it to pass inspection, what do? heh

then it's going to take alot of time, PB, and tons of luck. Those fittings, especially on the cast iron manifolds, don't like to let go. They seize like nobody's business.

So whats the norm.. people just scrap the tube and can't pass inspection? does it throw codes? If not.. what does it take to remove it and make it work?

lots of lube and lots of patience i have gotten them out before big wrench tons of lube i usually start lubing from teh day before
