Header - Rusted Midpipe
I have an 01 SE and the Hotshot Header I have had for years decided to mostly disintegrate between the flex and cat. I'm looking at ebay headers to replace it and see a lot of issues with the holes lining up to the engine..

The header isn't in bad shape from my Hotshot, so I was wondering.. could I potentially use the hotshot header and the ebay midpipe?

I'm looking at buying this - Ebay Header

and either installing it completely or frankenstein my header.. any opinions? Recommended ebay header that doesn't have installation issues?

yes

mild filament issues on exhaust studs that might require some over bore of the holes but this header is fine. Many people here run them.

I would just use the whole Ebay header, its a copy of the hotshot anyway...except shiny.
Like wayne said, minor fitment issues that are easy to deal with.

fitment
Not to jack the tread, but does anybody know if the primary tubes on these ebay headers are larger or the same diameter as my Gen 5 Hotshot ? I too was thinking about just bolting up the larger 2.5 inch secondary to my current hotshot, if it was a simple switch, in order to increase piping size from 2 inch to 2.5. It will fit ?

I ordered an ebay clone, but I still see a lot of talk about the fitting and gaskets. Where can I find stock gaskets other than calling the dealership? I'm guessing that would cost me more than the header did.. heh.

Gaskets for your eBay header? Got all mine from Summit Racing.

Got my header and gaskets in.. but it doesn't come with the nuts for the studs on the engine or the bolts to the cat..

I'm trying to make sure I have everything up front since I'm having it installed at a shop and would like to cut down on anything they have to wait for. Its in the snow so the bolts underneath I can't look at. Is there a part list with the sizes? Searching header is turning up a lot that isn't what I am looking for..

Found that the nuts for the header flange are M10 x 1.25..

If a shop is doing it, they should have an of the exhaust hardware you need on hand.

The shop is having a hard time getting the tube out of the header.. I think its the "EGR" tube? They can't find anything to really get at it since its pretty stuck in there without ruining it..
