I had a few zoom clutches too, and the springs kept breaking out of their housings and jamming up on the pressure plate. They're just built with shit metal that fatigues really really easily. I'd stay away.

I've never had a problem with any autozone clutches. I've installed at least 50. For stock cars they do the job just fine. But if you really beat up a stock clutch you can't expect it to last. I've never seen springs pop out of them or anything like that. Plus if you wear it out you can get another. Nobody else warranties wear except autozone.

But for anything sporty I'd upgrade to something with more bite. And I've used 4 ACT clutches and that's enough to never use another. I had a TOB explode. Had tons of clutch adjustment issues. Had springs pop out. And had a rivet in the pp break and cause the fingers to get all bent up. 4 different failures from 4 different clutches. The best street setup I had was a JWT PP with an ACT street/strip disc. It was great! Actually held up just fine.

Best bang for the buck is the Key Value clutches from the dealer/GregV.

If you want a clutch to last forever on 2x the power output (or more) forget it. Even the best aftermarket clutch company has failures. Most have springs break out of the windows. Others strip the splines on the disc. There really is no excuse for that though.
The fact that the splines strip out before something else goes is completely unacceptable. JMHO.
