Thread: Bad engine mounts?? Car jerks when foot taken off gas.

Hello,

I've been noticing that when I'm already in gear and I take my foot off the gas, the car can jerk forward pretty hard. Could this be a sign of bad engine mounts??

That's what I thought it was...I think I need to do that soon because it keeps getting worse. Sooner or later my engine will fall out on the road or my transmission will crack lol.

I would try replacing the torque set first (mounts at the radiator and fire wall). Prothane mounts or Energy Suspension inserts would work. This will help with wheel hop on launch also.

I think I'm going to try and replace them all. Might as well. At some point I plan on installing a turbo, so this will be one thing out of the way
