Thread: Bad Axles?

So i know everybody complains about the napa axles in their sr20s and unfortunately i bought them before i read about all the trouble people are having with them and how shitty they are and was also skeptical about peoples opinions of them. After about a week and a half of driving with them, maybe 500 miles, on a sr20det non turboed i started getting this sound (see video). Is that a bad cv joint and therefore bad axles? How far would i be able to drive with these in that sort of condition? Im just trying to get some opinions before i tear it apart seeing as it is my daily driver and i have work tonight. Thanks guys

Also what are the best axles to use? Autozone? Kragen?

To be honest, I personally would drive on em till you either have money to buy good quality axles or till they start affecting the drive-ability. Doesn't sound like a huge issue. I'd opt for some Raxles if they still make them for our applications.

raxles are still available I believe greg v can get them, unless you have the oem axles for cores expect to pay about $200+

really you dont think that they sound that bad? When driving in a straight line they are pretty audible.
