B15 Se ????
I have a friend that just KEEPS having issues with his car. He was driving down the road today and the car just cut off on him. I checked it out and it has no spark. Checked the codes and one of them was "Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction". I assume the distributor is shot? Anybody know anything about the b15 distributors? Where to get one cheap maybe?

You can get a new dizzy if you want.

You can try replacing parts inside the dizzy for cheaper and see if that works.

Try changing the cap, rotor, and seal. Those are relatively cheap and could very well work.

Or if you want, get a whole new dizzy for more money. Choose your adventure!

I doubt it is the same for the SE models, but I know on my parent's GXE there was a factory recall on the CPS and we got that fixed and managed to fix their Sentra hard/no-start problems. Might be worth looking into.

A GXE and SE have two different engines and CPS so it will not help him.

I know they are different, I was only generalizing on the B15 platform. Who knows, could get lucky. Maybe they botched a whole series of similar parts during that period? Unlikely I know, but it doesn't hurt to try sometimes.

The cap and rotor have been replaced recently. I just wish there was another one local that I knew of to try and swap it with to be sure.

My buddy has the same issue. He will be swapping another dizzy next week to be sure thats the issue. Seems a common thing for b15 dizzys to last 10 yrs and thats it.
