speedo sensor stuck in trans.
So I had to put off installing the trans I bought again, but this time because I can't get the speedo sensor out of it. It's in there pretty good. I tried oulling it out, prying it out and drilled a hole in it and tried to twist it loose. Nothing works. I need some suggestions! I want to be able to cruise in my SE-R for a couple months before winter!

If it makes a difference, its a cable driven speedo in a manual trans from a '91 NX.

put the tranny in neutral and rotate the gears by hand. You will need a axle for this. then hit the sensor with pb blaster to break up the oxidation use a rubber mallet if needed. twist and remove. All of the steps above may not be needed but do take care of various issues I have encountered.

I had this happen. It was corroded in and I kept breaking pieces off until I had nothin to pry on... and drilled a pilot hole and put a big screw in it.Used a hammer to pry it out like a nail.
