fuel pump sock help
im looking for a sock filter compatible with the bosch 044.

This is the only thing keeping me from installing it.

The only thing i can seem to find is a $50 sock that probably only works if the pump is mounted vertical.

any ideas?

.........said sock looks like:

Mounting the pump externally is not an option, correct?

thats correct. I dont want the complexity of a pump in the tank to feed it externally

How about just a hose in the tank with a sock on the end of it? Still not something you want to do?

how can i make sure it will stay in the holder at the bottom of the tank?

and do you know of a readily available sock filter for such use on a 3/8" hose?

You could fashion up some type of holder to make sure the hose and sock stayed in the right place. You could probably fab up a solution using the factory sock filter.

You could use the 044 filter if there's room for a 45 degree AN fitting?

Can you think of a parts store where I can find a sock, any filter sock?
So I can start thinking of ideas on how to attach it to the line.
