Stupid Tuner Style Lugs ( key broke in lug ) removal help?
Hey whats up guys, Well im getting ready to pull motor and the last thing I have to do is pull the axels.
Go to pull the one wheel off and the stupid key broke in the tuner lug. ( not a fan of these lugs )

Any idea's how to get it out? I was thinking weld a bolt to the broken piece inside but I have no access to a welder.
Can I JB Weld? Or is there a better way? The outside of the lug is round so im not sure what other options I have.

This is all im waiting on to drop my whole engine/trans out the bottom.

The broken piece is semi loose and will even wiggle inside but i cant get it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

if you can get a proper size thin wall 12 pt socket and bang it on that usually works

I will try that, The lug is just smooth round on the outside as its a crappy guerilla lug or something I bought years ago.

We shall see, Its on pretty good since it snappped and its smooth round on the outside since its a tuner style with the pattern for the tool in the center ( hollow ) Never using these crappy lugs again.

If you use those lugs, don't use the key that it comes with. Buy the size tool for your socket wrench.

Just about to say what everyone else said but if that don't work see if a nearby shop has a set of wheelock remover sockets that they might let you borrow . If you where closer I'd let you use mine . Goodluck
