The jiggle valve/air bleeder was installed correctly.

Not entirely sure if I bleed the system properly. I followed the FSM directions and also referenced the Haynes manual. Is there a method that works best for bleeding the system on a low port sr20de (95 200sx se-r)?

Pointers for getting the air out:
park on an uphill slope.
make sure you get coolant/water coming out the bleeder screw
have the heater on
squeeze the heater lines and lower rad hose and see if you get more bubbles.

Once i get heat coming out the heater, I usually go for a quick drive. Come back. Let it cool all the way down. Then top it off.

From the 95 FSM:

I usually just fill with the relief plug out, then put it back in when coolant
starts coming out. Then I run it with heater on full blast with radiator cap
off until warm, rev it a few times to get bubbles out. Fill reservoir as needed,
and then put the rad cap back on.

Thats close to what I did. Once fluid poured out of relief plug - I put the bolt back in. Then ad water/coolant to rad till its full and the overflow. Started the car with heater on full blast.

Definatly sounds like a bad temp sensor. As in the one the engine/ecu reads (2 wire) Mine went bad last year.

If you are having thermostate issues you do not have to run one. how ever then you have to run your fans to a switch and you loose being able to have heat in the cabin. but for a quick fix it will work. .... also all of my experiences with coolant temp sensors will stop the car from starting when its warm.

Took the coolant temp sensor out and about 1 litre of coolant pored out. Is that normal?
