Tranny Wire or not - Amp 42??
I'm finishing up a clutch job and I'm having trouble figuring out where 1 wire/sensor plugs in. I think its a ground wire, but I am not sure. I've looked through the FSM and found nothing. I've also searched on both forums to no avail.

Here are 2 pics. One is where is connects to the car under the air intake box. The other pic is the other end of that same wire. On it are the words 'amp 42'.

Can someone with knowledge tell me whats up. Do I have to have this thing plugged in?

Thanks in advance.

does it look like this?

I'm wondering what this thing goes to.... It was used to tie up some sensor wires...

That's it.

Anyone have an definitive answer? Is this a useless wire or what?

Its a ground wire that usually connects to a tab on one of the bolts that holds the two halves of the box together. Its not 100% necessary.

Cozzmo bet me to it. It usually plugs into the tab above the LHS CV seal like in this photo:

(I stole it off niZmo).

The photo does not make it clear where it goes. Could you circle the area and post the photo again.

It's a spade connector. It's on the tranny one of the 12mm head bolts holds it on.
