Thread: Going to look at a NX2k tomorrow, advice?

I'm going to check out a nx2k, the lady says it's running hot so it's only a few things that can be wrong. Thermostat, water pump, or head gasket. It has 180k miles on it and says "no rust or dents". which I have a clue where to look, rear strut towers. Any other advice you guys can give me about them when checking them out? Don't know much about the NX's, thanks in advance!

another weird thing is it says sun roof... did the hardtops have a sun roof option?

T tops only. Maybe that's what they meant?

Could be like my hardtop NX1600 where the previous owner cut a hole in the roof and customer installed one! lol

But seriously, hope it's nice Eric. You'll love driving the NX!

Thats weird.I wonder if they actually put the sunroof visor there with the t-tops.

yeah i hope. just need it not to be a bad head gasket and were good haha and its gotta make a hour drive back to my house hahaha. new motor maybe? just a de for now. it'll get my se-l wheels and maybe a lower and thats it for now.

btw this is what i got for rust.
A pillars
door jams
rear strut towers
rockers
radiator support

anything else i should worry about, frame to but i don't think nxs have a problem with that.

^^You got the rust spots pretty well covered.
Otherwise...
-obviously,tranny issues(popout,etc)
-maybe look for evidence of leaky hatch or taillights.
-condition of t-top seals/evidence of bad leaks(wet carpet or mold).

Everything else is just like any other car as far as things to check.
