Thread: Transmission Fluid

Most of us know what transmission fluid smells like. It has a very strong oder.


A few of the JDM transmissions have some type of gear oil that smells like plastic, it does not even have a stong oder. You have to put it to your nose to actually smell it. Does anyone know what type of fluid this is ?

No idea what the fluid is, but it wouldn't surprise me if it had almost no sulfur in it and something else instead that doesn't smell strongly.
