i finally got the seal installed and no leaks...yea. but basically what had happend is the one that was in the car was pushed all the way in as far as it would go and i thought at 2 in the morning that thats how it was supposed to be, i should have slept on it. pretty stupid mistake for an ase master technician with L1 eh. i guess no one is perfect. thank you again for all your help the car is a beast now. giant improvement over the tired 1.6

I've pushed that seal in all the way before a long time ago by accident. (Actually I think I put the seal in from inside the case while I had the case apart and didn't push it out far enough.) I don't remember if I had a leak or not. I must have. Anyway the solution at the time was to push the old seal back in too and I had double seal action going on for a while until I decided to fix the issue once and for all. =D

wow the guy i bought the engine n trans from was a whackjob, i was cleaing off some spillage from filling up my trans and i got to lookin at the driverside axle and the inner part of the shaft had "ford" stamped on it but it is identical to our shafts. i have a ford axle shaft in my car...lol. and it works.

i know right, im buyin one that i know is right as soon as i find one. i hope i dont have as much trouble finding this as i did the seal
