96 g20 won't start after left sitting?
Well my neighbor has a 96 g20 and being the nice guy that I am I decided to go and help him out... He doesn't know anything about cars really but his cap and rotor + spark plugs really needed to be changed so I had him get those but now the car STILL won't start.. I know it's getting fuel because the spark plugs are getting wet with fuel but it just keeps turning over but won't actually start...

Any idea's on what's next to check?
I know the valve cover gasket is leaking into the sparkplug wells..

Help him push the car into his driveway?

Check to make sure spark plug wires are in the right sequence. I don't think the distributor could be off 180º since it only fits in the cam one way. I'd go back and double check everything. Sounds like he screwed something up while changing those parts.

I changed those parts!
Lol well he said it was running and then he parked it, then goes to start it like 2-3 months later and nothing... I'll try to use my plug wires... Hmm Time to look up the wiring sequence

if the spark plug wires have been sitting in oil for a long time, they could be broken. Very broken.

This happened to my car. I took the spark plug wires off, put them back on again, and the car would not start at all, lol. 3 spark plug sockets were full of oil.

they had cracked on the inside so bad that they were hanging by a thread. This is what happens when you don't fix your extremely gaffed valve cover gasket for months/years.

it could have fouled all the ignition parts all the way back to the distributor, from an excessive amount of heat/resistance. Luckily my distributor was fine, but everything up to the spark plugs was *charred*.

if plug wires don't work, try the distributor.

Ok... I have some old wires that I know worked but I changed because it shocked me when my car was started, twice.. haha It ran perfectly fine though so I'll have to try my plug wires, I really hope it isn't the dissy
