The sensor for the gauge is like $6 at autozone. Personally, I installed an aftermarket digital gauge and sensor, so I just look at that most of the time. I think it cost me around $60 for the gauge and sensor.

Any idea where you got the aftermarket one from?

Well i ended up having to swap out the alt. And while I did this I re flushed out everything. I original thought that I didn't have enough coolant in the system. And apparently I did.

So far I ran the motor and under load, that's when it start to heat up bad. I disconnected the coolant temp sensor and the fans did kick on after the car stalled out. Re started the car and they stayed on to cool the motor back down.

So I'm pretty sure its the sensor that I got from Advanced for more than an OEM one from GregV. By $2!! So I'm waiting on that to swap out and go from there. And while the motor was running the fans did not come on, and both rad hoses where very hot so the thermostat is working.

Ok... swapped out the thermostat and then swapped out the temp sensor. And still had the same issues.

So I called up a few buddies and was told to run the car at idle until the scan gauge hit 210. Bam... fans came on but the stock gauge cluster was pegged at H. So its the cluster.

What a bitch. So looks like I need a new sensor for that. But who cares... I got a scan gauge bitches!

Thanx for all the help. Back on the road again.

lol jus replace the temp sensor that goes to the dash gauge.. its the 1 wire one.. right next to the one that goes to the ecu..

Glad you are back on the road again and it is not a serious offense. Stupid clusters!!!!

Stock gauge is useless anyway. I had plans to install a digital one in my B14.
